Spring Break

Is officially here! Despite an uncertain weather forecast, we headed to the beach for the first day of Spring Break. No sweat - just an easy day at the beach. Wake up, breakfast, pack - towels, clothes, snacks, sand toys, chairs, load up neighbors car... discover I don't know where the keys are to my hubby's car for my little guys carseat... borrow the other neighbor's carseat. On the road. Stop for breakfast, drive an hour, unload, sunscreen, sandcastles, dark clouds, pack up, hour home, PB&J in car, Blockbuster, ice cream - and home by 12:30pm. Phew. The best part. The kids were all smiles :-) J's feelings on the morning - "It was worth it just for the shell I found!" Really, it doesn't take much. Life is good!

Shopping Addiction???

In the last 2 weeks I cannot begin to explain how much I have saved and/or "earned" and can't believe I have never done this before. With the help of some very hard working, resourceful individuals & a little time and organization, I have saved tons of money -that will pay off for weeks (and in some cases, months... LOL) to come.

There are so many people out there talking savings, teaching methods, giving advice, etc... but it just does not seem to be put into action. I am just getting starting and have found so many great sites. Check out my Fav's for a little preview and enjoy!!

I know it seems to take a birthday or major life change for me to post lately, but it hasn't even been that! I have missed a lot... including my sweet girl - Jessica's

17th BIRTHDAY!!!

is 14! I cannot believe it.

Is she BEAUTIFUL or what !?!

In the twelve years I have known the sweet girl.. she has grown from an adorable, sweet, pudgy, little toddler - to a beautiful and absolutely great teenager! There was never any doubt that this girl was going to be a show stopper :) But as parents, it is always so amazing to watch your children grow into such wonderful young individuals! You are a strong, thoughtful, intelligent, kind, fun and just hilarious person.

Now what do I do !?!?!

AAAAAAAGGGGGH! On so many levels!

It's been just one of those weeks. My family definitely gives me a run for my money. If it can happen, IT WILL! The last two days of FUN..

1. Learning to take a diaper off on our own.

Cute = when clean and found walking around the house w/ a tushy peeking out! (No puddles found)

Not so Cute = When child and dirty diaper are found in crib. (However, on a positive note - at least they were found together and confined!!)

2. Learning to crawl out of our crib at 19 months!

(Not to mention my dear hubby canceling my recording of LOST. THE SEASON FINALE no less!!!)

I know buddy - it's scary!!! You're not only growing up so fast.. but you are multiplying Mommy's grey hair.
